"It's Time to work on my Bucket List" -- I am proud of what we have accomplished over the last 16 years-- The Restoration of a National Historic Site, establishing a viable business in the Tapas dinners, and a popular B&B upstairs. The Old Girl is supporting herself!! It is now time to pass the reigns to someone with the youth to take it even farther. The potential is limited only by lack of imagination.
This iconic piece of Northern Michigan history has a self-sustaining seasonal business that has yet to achieve its full potential. The tavern - "Morgan's Tavern" has shown a marked increase in business over the past three years with a 30% growth in 2015 alone.
We are unique in that we only have one seating and reservations are required. A strictly tapas menu that revolves adds to the character.
The renovated upstairs has two large bedrooms. One with a full private bathroom, the bath off the hallway offers a walk-in shower with a bench. All the woodwork upstairs is black walnut including the custom Library and the 8-ft. counter with a bar and copper sink. Each room has air conditioning/heat that is individually controlled using an energy-efficient split system. The Front Room serves as a dining and living room. A deck in the north side allows access via stairs. The deck being 12 ft. up gives privacy with a view.
The living quarters are well set up for a B&B and have been used as such on a minimal basis without any advertising.
The selling price includes all fixtures and a substantial number of antiques.
